The Huron Township CERT Team would like to express it's sincere gratitude for the support we received from Chief David Russow during his tenure with the Huron Township Fire Department. During his administration, our team was founded and grown. Without his full support, we would have never been able to become what we are today.
As of Friday, April 9th, 2010, Chief Russow will be enjoying his new occupation: retirement. We wish him well and look forward to seeing him around the Township and perhaps at some of our meetings.
GOOD LUCK CHIEF AND THANK YOU!!!
(Chief @ CERT Academy #005)
RIP - Connie Hall
Connie was one of our eldest team member. She was a very vivacious and strong person. She simply loved to be involved. Her involvement with our team was purely accidental. During an overlap between a senior event that Connie was attending and the first session of CERT academy #003, she became curious about our program and ultimately participated in our training and became a team member. During her short year with our team, she assisted us on several deployments, the most recent being the H1N1 clinic on November 21st, 2009. She was also a close second for the Coordinator’s award for the most questions asked during CERT training. She will be greatly missed along with her contributions to our team.
